Potter Children’s Home to host fall festival benefit

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Potter Children’s Home is gearing up for its annual fall festival, which is coming up in just a couple of weeks.

The organization holds the event every year and has a lot of festivities, including bounce houses, food booths, auctions and tours of the facilities.

Items like quilts, watches and trips to some fun attractions are up for grabs at the auction booths, with all of the proceeds going back to the kids of Potter Children’s Home.

They have a goal to raise $50,000. All the money goes to helping children in need.

Ralph Brewer, executive director at Potter Children’s Home, says they will receive all of the proceeds.

“Many of our residents have had a difficult time in life, and many of them either don’t have parents or who have parents who maybe can’t take care of them. And so all of the proceeds from this day, as well as other events that we have, go directly to the residents,” Brewer said.

The fall festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20. Activities begin at 9:30 a.m., with a live auction at 12:30 p.m.
