UPDATE: Portion of road reopened between Kenton and Chestnut Street

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A portion of road that was closed through the later afternoon Monday in Bowling Green has reopened.

According to city officials, 12th Avenue between Kenton and Chestnut Street is back open to traffic after crews spent the entire day on a repaving project.

You may have noticed detour signs earlier today to reroute around the work being done.

The City of Bowling Green says the work is complete.
