BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department is sharing a safer way to dispose of prescription medications.

On Monday, the department shared an image of a pharmaceutical disposal container.

Police say these containers serve as a safe and convenient way to throw away your medications.

You can find these containers at three locations in Bowling Green, including BGPD headquarters at 911 Kentucky St., the Kentucky State Police Post 3 at 3119 Nashville Road and inside of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 429 E. 10th Ave.

The boxes are for prescription medications only, police say. Law enforcement asks the public not to dispose of liquids, needles or over-the-counter medications.
