UPDATE: Police release details of arrest after shooting on Magnolia Street; warrant issued
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green police say they have arrested one man and another is wanted after a shooting on Magnolia Street Thursday night.
According to an arrest citation, police responded shortly after 9:26 p.m. to the scene and learned that a male subject had been shot in the foot.
He was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Police say they discovered 40 shell casings at the scene. The home sustained damage to the glass storm door, front door, front porch and multiple walls of the interior, according to the arrest citation.
A search warrant was obtained to process the scene and gather evidence, police say.
Through investigation, police say they identified a suspect as 18-year-old Ka’ryn Wilson of Bowling Green. The arrest citation also states two other males were involved in the incident.
According to the arrest citation, the male subjects approached members of the victim’s family with guns drawn and demanded to know where the victim was.
Police say after reaching a family member of Wilson, they were able to speak with him before he traveled to the police station. Police say while there, Wilson was mirandized and told them he was not at the scene that day and did not shoot the victim.
Wilson was arrested and charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief.
