UPDATE: Dishman Lane homicide suspect captured in Indiana

UPDATE: Authorities have captured the man wanted on Thursday’s homicide. Mach Sar of Elkhart, Ind. is being held in the Elkhart County Correctional Complex.
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In what has already been a violent week in Bowling Green, police were once again at an early morning death investigation Thursday morning just prior to sunrise.
At 5:05 a.m., police were called to Wheel Mobile Home Park, 436 Dishman Lane, Lot 50, for a disturbance.
Officers located Somrhut Phan, 29, of Bowling Green, deceased inside the home.
Crime scene tape was around the lot as police walked in and out of the home to collect evidence early this morning.
Detectives have named Mach Sar, 35, of Elkhart, Ind., as a suspect.
A murder arrest warrant has been issued for Sar.
Detectives believe Sar and a female left the scene in a silver 2007 Suzuki XL7 with an Indiana tag number 114RCN.
The back of the Suzuki is damaged. If anyone knows Sar’s location, officials ask you to contact the police.
One neighbor, Ashley Sturgeon, was about to walk her son to school when she saw all of the commotion.
“As I walked out of the house, I see an undercover [police officer] parked in the weirdest spot. So I was like, ‘Okay, hello.’ and then I turn around and he was walking to his car but then you see like maybe five cop cars, a coroner, and then like some weird van that says ‘police’ on the side of it. Once you get further into the trailer park you see another undercover [police officer] and a police officer talking and then my neighbors are running out talking about [how] it might be a homicide,” said Sturgeon.
