Police arrest man after woman wounded by gunshot

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After over a week of investigating, police have arrested a man they say is suspected in an assault.

Thursday morning, a nine-day long investigation led Warren County Sheriff’s Office deputies to search for Thomas Price at a residence on West 13th Ave.

Last week, a victim told police Price had shot them in the head during a disturbance with Price on Haley Price Road.

Deputies arrived Thursday at the scene and saw a man matching Price’s description exit the home exit onto the front porch, police say.

Police say after Price saw deputies, he ran through the home before leaving through the back door. He then ran through the yard and jumped nearby fences before deputies detained Price without further incident, police say.

Price, 40, of Auburn was arrested and is charged with first-degree assault, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), possession of synthetic drugs, second offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense, and resisting arrest.

Price was also served two outstanding warrants .
