Police arrest Knob Lick woman, accused of traveling with drugs inside of metal safe

GLASGOW, Ky.- A woman is under arrest after police in Glasgow say they discovered drugs inside a safe located in her vehicle.

According to Glasgow police, on Sunday, officers responded to Columbia Avenue in reference to a suspicious person complaint.

Police say they made contact with a driver, later identified as Stephanie Whitlow, 28, of Knob Lick, Ky.

Officers say they located a metal safe in the car containing a syringe loaded with suspected methamphetamine, a glass pipe, additional syringes and three small bags of suspected methamphetamine.

Whitlow was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, giving officer false identifying information and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Whitlow is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
