BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It was a long night for the rezoning of several areas in Warren County, the planning commission making some big decisions on the evening of July 18.

Big points of concern for the evening were a development in Smiths Grove and an RV Park in Plum Springs, many community members coming out to voice their lack of support for either venture. Ultimately, the commission voted in a 2-2 tie, twice, on the issue of allowing almost 300 residential lots to be potentially built on even after some changes made to the development plan during the meeting. Contention heavily voiced in statements on safety and aesthetics of the city.

a 3-1 yes decision was made as well on the RV park hoping to be built in Plum Springs which many who live in the area are not happy about, saying the aesthetics and traffic would be heavily impacted by the thought of an RV park next to a subdivision which was many citizens main concern as was proper maintenance of the venue.

Because there was no decision made on the large development in Smiths Grove, the application will move into the Warren County Fiscal court with no recommendations. The RV park development will move on to the Plum Springs Planning Commission.
