BOWLING GREEN Ky.-A longtime project to redesign Bowling Green High School moved one step closer to completion.

The new Bowling Green High School phase 4 design renderings were presented at a school board meeting Monday night. The district approved the designs, which includes a common area, a new library and a journalism lab.

The new BGHS is currently in phase 1, which makes up 80% of the classroom spaces. Students and staff are already making use of the new space that is currently available.

With the approval of the 4th and final phase, all phases are a go, which was great news to BGHS principal Kyle McGraw.

“I’ve been involved in the process and that’s been great. When I saw the renderings, it brought a smile to my face. We can’t wait for the project to get here and eventually be completed,” McGraw said.

The entire new BGHS project is on track to be completed by July of 2023.
