People on edge after vandals set fire to vehicle in Greystone subdivision
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – People in living in the Greystone community are on high alert after officials say multiple cars were broken into, one was set on fire.
Strawberry Court, Red Maple and other nearby streets were affected.
“The biggest impact on our family at this point is that our daughter is afraid to be at home. This is a great neighborhood with families. It’s very active and to not feel safe in your own home is pretty scary,” said Sarah Wallace whose car was burglarized.
Community members found their belongings thrown on the ground.
Some were missing wallets, Chapstick, driver’s licenses, cash and other items from their vehicles.
“It makes me angry that someone can touch our stuff and get away with it,” Rebecca Hazel said.
One vehicle was set ablaze. The vehicle fire was set from inside but did not engulf the vehicle.
Multiple homes in Greystone have surveillance videos.
The investigation is ongoing.
