Pedestrian struck by vehicle off of Cemetery Road

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Sunday in Bowling Green, authorities say.

Warren County sheriff Brett Hightower confirmed a motorist stopped their vehicle at Cemetery Road and Roger Porter Road and exited their car to remove a piece of debris from the roadway.

During this time, Hightower says the pedestrian was struck by a silver SUV traveling eastbound on Cemetery Road.

Deputies say they responded to the scene shortly before 3 p.m.

The victim was flown to a hospital in Nashville for treatment.

The investigation and accident reconstruction are ongoing.
