Payne finishes season in third place at 2025 NASP Championship

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Just under a month ago we brought you the story on Kannon Payne, a fifth grader from the Allen County Intermediate Center who placed high enough at the 2025 NASP US Eastern Nationals to compete in this year’s NASP Championship, and after spending this past weekend at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, the Patriot has returned to south central Kentucky with more hardware.

Payne finished with a score of 286, just two points shy of his career-best which was set back at the Eastern Nationals in May.

With another strong performance, Payne was able to take home third place out of 471 archers in the Elementary Boys Rank, and he also earned second place out of 275 in the 5th Grade Boys Rank.
