Parker-Bennett-Curry names Kelli Brooks as interim principal

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Superintendent Gary Fields has announced that Kelli Brooks will serve as interim principal of Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary beginning Jan. 6 and for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.
Current principal, Delvagus Jackson, has been appointed to a new role as director of alternative programs and safety, effective Jan. 6.
According to the district, Brooks retired from BGISD in 2023 after serving 10 years as principal and 16 years as a teacher at W. R. McNeill Elementary School.
Throughout her career, the district says Brooks demonstrated a commitment to educational excellence, building and maintaining a high standard for academic achievement but also a culture of professional growth for teachers.
“We are happy to welcome Mrs. Brooks back to a leadership role in our district,” Fields said. “Her proven record makes her an ideal choice to lead Parker-Bennett-Curry during this transitional period.”
Brooks will serve as interim throughout the 2025 spring semester. The search for a permanent principal for PBC will begin in February.
