Operation PRIDE unveils new welcome gate in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Thanks to efforts from Operation PRIDE, Bowling Green has gotten yet another upgrade that thousands will see.

Operation PRIDE is a nonprofit organization that simply wants to increase the pride and visual appeal of Bowling Green. On Thursday, at the corner of Kentucky Street and East 6th Avenue, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce and Operation PRIDE held a ribbon cutting to officially celebrate the completion of construction and landscape for the newest welcome gate.

Webb said this gate just like those on I-65 serve multiple purposes such as tourism and building an attractive area for businesses in addition to giving citizens a sense of pride in Bowling Green.
