Officers recognized for Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week

Bowling Green, KY.- Each day the officers commit to ensure public safety and protect the animals in our community. Animal control officers wear many hats, whether taking in animals, investigating violations or responding to animal emergencies, these officers work tirelessly for animal protection.

Brad Schargorodski, the Division Manager of animal protection for Bowling Green, says, “They are kind of behind the scenes and they don’t get a lot of recognition. So you might see their vehicle drive by or you might have to call them, but otherwise, you don’t realize that rain, snow, or shine, they are out here all day, every day protecting the community and making sure that our animals are safe.”
