Northeast Braces For Historic Snow

Up to two feet of snow is expected in New York, Boston and Philadelphia as a major winter storm system moves across the region. NBC's Dan Scheneman reports.

(NBC News) — The Northeast is bracing for a massive winter storm that’s expected to dump historic levels of snow.

Snow has already started falling in New York and could continue through Tuesday.

The forecast calls for two feet of snow, and maybe more.

Travel restrictions are already in place.

“Stay off the roads, we’re going to say it a hundred times, please do it for your own safety and everyone around and so our sanitation department can do their crucial work,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said Sunday.
