‘No Kings’ protests set for Saturday across region

BOWLING GREEN, Ky (WNKY) – Demonstrations tied to the “No Kings” movement are planned across south central Kentucky and parts of Tennessee this Saturday, March 28, as part of a broader nationwide day of action.
Organizers say the protests are focused on promoting democratic values and opposing what they describe as government overreach. Events are expected to remain peaceful and community-driven.
Several gatherings are scheduled locally:
- Bowling Green: 1:30–3:30 p.m. in front of SKyPAC
- Munfordville: 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Hart County Courthouse
- Franklin: 12–2 p.m. at West Kentucky Avenue and North Main Street
- Hopkinsville: 11 a.m.–1 p.m. along the 100 Justice Way sidewalk
- Central City: 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at West Reservoir Street and John Keown Drive parking lot
- Madisonville: 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on the Old Courthouse lawn
- Elizabethtown: 1–3 p.m. (ET) at Helm Street and South Main Street, with a food drive included
- Clarksville, Tennessee: 3–5 p.m. at McGregor Park and the Cumberland Riverwalk
- Springfield, Tennessee: 2–4 p.m. (private address, must RSVP at nokings.org)
- Nashville, Tennessee: 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at 592 South 1st Street
The events are part of a coordinated national effort, with similar protests expected in cities and towns across the country.
