Newly renovated Mohawk Center provides space to visitors and local businesses

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – Brownsville and Mammoth Cave National Park visitors have a new place to stay at The Mohawk Center.

This building was once known as the Mohawk Motel and now caters to local businesses and visitors.

The space is a boutique setting for businesses and is currently the home to Little Dumplings Boutique, The Hive Hair and Company and Body and Mind Massage Studio.

The second floor keeps the motel trend, with newly renovated vacation rentals. To welcome visitors to the small town, each Airbnb has a Kentucky-related theme.

Co-owner of the Mohawk Center, Angela Miller, says, “We just wanted to affiliate with Kentucky and then we tried to throw in the decor a little bit. You know, we’re sitting in derby, and you’ll see things that relate to the Derby in here and keep it Kentucky because we are catering to people from all over the country. We have people from all over the country coming to see Mammoth Cave and staying with us.”

The vacation rentals in the Mohawk Center are now available for bookings, and a few spaces remain empty for entrepreneurs on the commercial level.
