New wildfire threatens Reagan Library

(NBC News) New wildfires forced another round of evacuations Wednesday in Southern California.

Flames erupted in Simi Valley, burning dangerously close to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and threatening another 6,500 homes.

“Be ready and prepare to leave, and when we ask you to leave, please leave immediately,” Ventura County Fire Department Chief Mark Lorenzen warned.

Hundreds of miles to the north, the now week-long battle against the massive Kincade fire continues. That fire has destroyed dozens of homes and burned more than 76,000 acres.
