New turn lane complete for Rich Pond Elementary School

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Motorists traveling near Rich Pond Elementary School may notice a new road upgrade.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 3, announced Thursday that a new turn lane is complete near the school on Kentucky 242 Rich Pond Road.

Transportation officials say the lane is ready just in time for the new school year.

The lane is one of multiple school safety projects in the area, according to KYTC.
