New leasing program aims to improve parking in downtown Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new parking spot leasing program launched for downtown Bowling Green.

Currently, the City of Bowling Green owns only the State Street lot and Paxton lot off of East 10th Avenue.

However, business owners can lease parking spots for staff on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to Downtown BGKY.

For the city’s State Street lot, all of the leased spots will be marked by signs like the one pictured for spot #28. Please do not park in these spots during labeled hours.

This will allow for employees to use other spots instead of the square.

Downtown officials say the public is still welcome to park in these lots for free after hours as designated.
