New jailer begins term in Barren County
GLASGOW, Ky.- Barren County’s new Jailer started his term Tuesday.
Aaron Bennett, a Republican, was sworn in last weekend.
He defeated Democratic incumbent, Tracy Bellamy, in November’s election by getting over 55% of the vote.
Prior to his position as Jailer, Bennett served as a deputy with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office. He was also an officer with the Glasgow Police Department.
