New Glasgow police K-9 assists with traffic stop arrest

GLASGOW, Ky.-The Glasgow Police Department’s new drug sniffing K-9 helped make an arrest early Tuesday morning,
According to the Glasgow Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop on South Morgan Street.
Police say the driver, Jimmy Tucker, 73, of Glasgow, was driving with a suspended license.
Police say K-9 Joe, was then deployed and alerted his handler of something in the vehicle.
Officers say they located marijuana and a handgun inside.
Tucker was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle on a suspended license, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana.
Tucker is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
K-9 Joe has worked for the Glasgow Police Department for about a month.
