New family fun coming to Simpson County? Expected in 2026
SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky. – Some exciting buzz around Franklin and Simpson County, a new way for family and friends to hang out just off Exit 2 on I-65.
The state tourism department awarded a grant to the project that is expected to bring a large entertainment development to the community. “Dine and Play Social House” plans to offer bowling, mini golf, and axe throwing just to name a few things. News 40 spoke to a community official who said he’s sure it’ll be a great thing for the area.
The Franklin-Simpson Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Director Steve Thurmond told News 40 that though it’s in the preliminary stages, it would be a great benefit to the community as Kentucky’s sixth fastest growing community.
Thurmond said the difference in state taxes drives a lot of commerce from Tennessee as well, so this new development would not only be good for the local community, it would bring in more surrounding visitors as well.
