New community mural coming at The Fringe
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In downtown Bowling Green, Warren County agencies are welcoming a new piece of art at The Fringe by the Bowling Green Ball Park.
Warren County Parks & Rec, along with Warren County Public Library, BikeWalk BG, and the BG Neighbors Aid Network, are inviting the community to visit downtown and have some fun painting a mural for the new bike co-op, which is a small shipping container operating as a small-scale repair shop.
The bike co-op or bike kitchen will have a design outlined by artist Andee Rudloff which will be ready for the community to fill in with many colors and further beautify the “traffic garden” that WCPR and Warren County Judge-Executive Doug Gorman worked together to bring to the area. It’s 1 of 3 in the state and will serve as a new place for young bike riders to learn the rules of the road.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 19th and the organizations are excited to see the community come out.
