New art installation to be unveiled at SKyPAC

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Arts of Southern Kentucky is unveiling a new public art installation by renowned sculptor Russ Faxon in front of the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center on Oct. 22.

The public is invited to attend the occasion, which starts at 9:30 a.m.

After more than a year of work, Arts of Southern Kentucky says the bronze sculpture, supported by a generous donation from Joe Davis, is the inaugural project from the Arts of Southern Kentucky’s Public Arts Committee.

The piece was created for the SKyPAC Doris and Robert Burr Grand Plaza.

Faxon is celebrated for works that include the Tennessee Korean War Memorial, according to a release.

Arts of Southern Kentucky says the community and surrounding areas are encouraged to join the unveiling.
