New app allows citizens to report crimes to wildlife officers

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources now have an app to help the public report violations of fish, wildlife and boating laws.

There are multiple ways you can provide tips anonymously.

The KFWLaw app for your smartphone has the ability to alert officials to criminal behavior, such as poaching.Users can also text Tip411 with keyword “KFWLaw” followed by the crime location and activity observed.

Officials say this is an important means of conserving Kentucky’s resources and helping ensure public safety.
