Multiple holiday events impacting traffic in Glasgow this weekend

GLASGOW, Ky. – Drivers passing through Glasgow this weekend will want to be aware of several events that will impact traffic.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, the Glasgow Parks and Recreation annual Turkey Trot, along with a Christmas market and the Light Up Glasgow event, will lead to road closures in the area.

For the Turkey Trot, South Green Street from East Washington Street to East Main Street will be closed. Race start times will range between 7:15 a.m. through 8:30 a.m.

In addition, the Glasgow Police Department shared the following maps reflecting full road closures for this event.

Meanwhile, the Sip, Shop and Ho, Ho, Ho Christmas Market will cause closures along East Main Street from North Green Street to South Race Street, East Washington Street from Plaza Way to South Race Street and South Green Street from West Wayne Street to East Main Street.

The Christmas Market will last from 1 to 7 p.m.

Finally, the Light Up Glasgow event will take place at 5 p.m. at the downtown square.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution while traveling through these areas this weekend.
