Multiple departments respond to mulch fire in Russellville

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – Multiple agencies responded over the weekend for a reported fire in Russellville.
According to Russellville Rural Fire Department, units were paged to a mulch fire Sunday at Sims Bark Co. on Nashville Road in Russellville.
Fire personnel say mutual aid was requested, with a total of seven departments responding to the scene.
According to the department, 40,000 gallons of water were used to get the fire under control.
Russellville Rural was assisted by Browning Fire Department, Adairville Fire Department, Olmstead Fire Department, Auburn Fire Department, Franklin Simpson Fire Department, North Robertson Fire Department and EMS.
Sims Bark Co. additionally had personnel and heavy equipment on site.
