Multiple counties now under burn ban

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A list of burn bans continues to grow as dry conditions persist in the local area.
On Thursday, Sept. 5, Simpson County became the latest county to have a no outside burn order issued by its judge executive, Mason Barnes.
Other counties have had the same order by their respective judge executives this week due to fire hazard conditions that persist in these areas.
These include Warren County, Barren County and Logan County.
All of the burn bans are effective at this time, according to officials.
All open burning is banned in all areas of each county. This includes fireworks and any material burned outdoors.
The executive orders state the ban will be lifted once hazardous conditions have subsided with enough rainfall.
