Multiple agencies respond to commercial building fire in Edmonson County

EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky. – Multiple agencies worked together to fight a reported structure fire in Edmonson County on Tuesday.

The Warren County Fire Department System says just before 3 p.m., Edmonson County requested mutual aid assistance from Smiths Grove for a reported commercial building fire.

The department says units responded with Chalybeate and Brownsville agencies to a two-story commercial building, formerly a church converted to commercial space, with fire showing.

Fire personnel then began to work on establishing water flow to fight the fire.

Shortly after, the department says Alvaton firefighters responded for a request for a ladder truck.

Operations 100 and battalion chief Buchanon also responded to assist.

Crews operated for approximately three hours before clearing the scene.
