Much love received by Auburn Health Care

AUBURN, Ky. – Auburn Tourism asked and the community delivered, with some mail even coming from out of state.

Leading up to Valentine’s Day and on the day of, people sent in mail and came in throughout the day to drop of cards and hearts to the residents of the nursing home in Auburn.

Speaking with a CNA, Dixie Hopkins told News 40 that the Valentine’s Day party the staff threw for residents was a big success. Hopkins said a lot of cards came in from Auburn elementary school, a letter from Pennsylvania, and a few cards from former employees.

It would seem the the holiday went well for those who reside in Auburn Health Care. The station also talked  to a few residents in passing and the amount of gratitude expressed would have been hard pressed to fit even in an Olympic swimming pool.
