Mt. Zion Baptist Church, BGPD to host Annual Back-to-School Block Party

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department and Mount Zion Baptist Church are teaming up for the annual Back-to-School Block Party.

On Saturday, July 19, local families are invited to the church to prepare for school during a community gathering.

Organizers say there will be a backpack giveaway, along with Chromebook and bicycles. Free haircuts will also be offered for male students.

Plus, if you arrive hungry, don’t worry – BGPD will be there cooking up hot dogs and hamburgers for everyone.

The event will last from 4 to 7 p.m. at 175 Graham Avenue.
