Motorcycle ride to benefit 3-month-old, family after multiple heart surgeries
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Harley-Davidson Bowling Green will host a motorcycle ride with a special purpose.
Ride for Oliver will begin tomorrow morning at the dealership off of Cumberland Trace Road, with registration at 11 a.m. and the journey kicking off at noon with a scenic ride toward the lake.
Back at the dealership after the ride, there will be food and a silent auction.
The $20 per rider or $30 for a rider and passenger will benefit Oliver, a baby who has had a hard start in life.
Blake Fields with Harley-Davidson Bowling Green says, “So, Oliver’s now three months old. In the past three months, he’s had four open heart surgeries, has not left the hospital since he’s been born. The boy’s a fighter.”
B.J. Wilborn, general manager at Harley-Davidson Bowling Green, shared more about events like Ride for Oliver.
He says, “We typically try to get involved in anything that helps the community, especially with those that are involved with the motorcycle community, so we try to just help in any way that we can.”
Ten percent of all the proceeds from over-the-counter sales at Harley-Davidson that day will also benefit the family.
