Morgantown man arrested on drug charges

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – A Morgantown man is facing several charges after a traffic stop.

The Kentucky State Police says troopers stopped a gold Chevrolet Malibu around midnight on Tuesday driven by Tyler Potts, 27.

Authorities say during the stop, the trooper found a small plastic bag containing several suspected fentanyl pills, several pipes and bongs, a large cylinder containing suspected marijuana, scales, a gallon bag containing suspected mushrooms and a plastic container of THC wax.

Potts was arrested and faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl), first offense, trafficking in marijauana (less than 8 ounces), first offense, second-degree possession of a controlled substance (hallucinogen), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, fourth offense, license to be in possession and careless driving.
