More details released about the Master Plan for Riverfront Park along the Barren River
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The City of Bowling Green has released plans for a project that has been in the works for over seven years. The Master Plan for Riverfront Park shows the vision for what this 70-acre space along the Barren River will offer to the community.
City officials say this will be an adventure-themed nature park, unlike anything Bowling Green has seen before. The new space will include a boat ramp, water play feature, event space, an observation deck, and even a white-water park.
Bowling Green’s Director of Neighborhood and Community Services, Brent Childers, says “We also see it as an attraction project. This is the type of park that people are going to want to come visit, see, experience, and take in. And then once they’re here, they are going to say, “Man this is a great place to live. We want to stay here. We want to be a part of the Bowling Green community.”
