Minton Hall residents to receive $1,000 credit from Western Kentucky University
Students who resided in a mold-infested residence hall at Western Kentucky University will be compensated for the inconvenience of moving.
In an email to parents and the students who resided in Minton Hall, Western Kentucky University President Timothy Caboni said students will be provided with a $1,000 housing fee credit to be used next semester.
The decision to relocate an entire WKU residential facility was not taken lightly, he said.
All 348 students who lived in the hall were forced to move out after mold was discovered. They had until Sunday to relocate.
Minton Hall should reopen sometime in January.
