EDMONTON, Ky. – Metcalfe County High School students gathered to show support for two of the school’s students that were injured over Christmas break in a vehicle accident.

According to Metcalfe County Schools, after the crash that injured Tanner Acree and Kali Mann on Dec. 28, the FCA Club hosted the vigil Thursday while pastor and bus driver Britt Young spoke to students.

School officials say Acree has been released from the hospital.

Both of the students’ families were in attendance through FaceTime for the vigil as well.

Many of the students wore blue, which schools officials say represented calmness, serenity and peace as both Acree and Mann continue recovery from their injuries.
