Metcalfe County Schools students recognized at National Beta Convention

METCALFE COUNTY, Ky. – Metcalfe County Schools says it brought home a lot of success after this year’s National Beta Convention.
The school’s Beta Club brought home first place in portfolio with a team that included Lilly Grissom and Rosalee Lunz.
Elyda Hicks also brought home first and second place for onsite drawing, while Peyton Lawhon placed fifth in recyclable arts and Cade Huffman placed seventh in mixed media, the school says.
Team members Sam Grider, Raelynn Miller, Rosalee Lunz and Emily Profit placed third in the convention invention.
Team members were Emily Profit, Raelynn Miller and Rory Bragg scored fourth place at the service learning showcase.
Finally, team members Landon Blythe, Anthony VanDuyn and Jett Simpson earned sixth place in technology.
The students competed with others from all across the country. Metcalfe County Schools even brought home fourth in donations per attendee of school supplies for students in need in the Louisville area.
