Metcalfe County man arrested after shooting incident
EDMONTON, Ky.- A Metcalfe County man was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment after authorities said he fired a weapon inside a home during a dispute with a woman.
Deputies with the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office responded Monday to the residence in the 400 block of Ralph Edwards Road.
According to an arrest citation, a woman inside the home told authorities that Timothy Jenkins, 64, attempted to punch her in the face, but missed. Jenkins is then accused of firing a single shot with a handgun into the floor while the woman was standing approximately 7 ft. from where the shot hit the floor. Authorities said they found the handgun loaded with another round in the chamber, as well as a magazine loaded with more rounds.
Jenkins is also charged with fourth-degree assault-domestic violence. He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
