Merch day for Isaiah 117 in Logan County
RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – At the New Vision Community Church main office, Isaiah 117’s Logan County location is still fundraising for the big day.
News 40 stopped by their merch day to talk a little more about the mission behind such a big endeavor, to which organizers said it’s just a matter of their faith. The foster parents behind the idea of bringing the Isaiah House to Logan County believe that it’s their calling to help children out as much as they can. The house that is meant to help ease the transition process into foster care will be full of food, toys and clothes for the children awaiting placement. All this is to provide the child, and family taking them in, with a good start.
The house is meant to hold one “family” at a time, meaning one or multiple children of the same family. While some may think this is a “group home” type of arrangement, confidentiality concerns would best be satisfied by just having one family at a time, but there is some desire to have a “visitation area”, where it’s possible to have another family.
An “Isaiah 117 House Logan County” Facebook page is up and running right now where they post the newest information on the non-profit.
