Med Center hosting Babysitting Clinic
Bowling Green, Ky.- Med Center Health is offering a babysitting clinic for kids ages 11 to 17.
In this course, teens will learn the basic safety of babysitting, including what to do when a child is choking, how to do hands-only CPR, and learn how to change a diaper.
The course will also skill participants in knowing which games are age-appropriate and the best foods for different ages of children. It also provides them with skills to make themselves as a babysitter.
Health and Wellness director at Med Center, Sarah Widener, says, “It’s important that they know how to respond in an emergency, and if something happens they need to know how to respond, and it’s not always natural for everybody. So, knowing when to call 911, what to say, and things that you can do in the meantime to prepare and help out during an emergency are going to be important. And you know, just having some basic skills that you can use outside babysitting as well.”
The babysitting clinic will be on July 18th, and you can register by calling Med Center Health and Wellness or visiting their website here.
