Med Center Health offering free sports physicals across south-central Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Med Center Health is offering free sports physicals to students in middle school and high school throughout south-central Kentucky from June 2 through June 24.
According to Med Center Health, physicians, nurse practitioners, athletic trainers, and support staff employed by Med Center Health, or part of the Med Center Health Partners, will be providing free sports physicals at affiliated area high schools.
No matter if your child pursues a team sport, such as basketball, or enjoys going solo as an archer, experts say receiving a sports physical helps make sure it’s safe for him or her to start a new sport or competitive season.
Free sports physicals are offered to students attending the following schools:
- Logan County / Russellville Independent – June 2

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association requires that any student participating in a sport or band have a physical to ensure the safe participation in their sport or activity. A sports physical will include a review of medical history, vision, general physical examination and a musculoskeletal assessment.
