Med Center Health Foundation hosting Make the Season Bright tree lightings

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Med Center Health’s Make the Season Bright Program is back to offer a way to honor someone special while supporting patients and families.

This year, the celebration will begin on Dec. 2 with events at Med Center Health hospital locations.

The following events are free and open to the public, according to the Med Center Health Foundation:

  • Dec. 2: The Medical Center at Scottsville at 456 Burnley Road in Scottsville. Santa and cookies at 5 p.m., followed by a program at 5:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 3: The Hospitality House; The Medical Center at Bowling Green at 501 High St. This is part of the annual Light Up BGKY holiday celebration, with live music, hot cocoa, pizza, holiday themed games, giveaways and pictures with Santa at 5:30 p.m., followed by an annual tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 4: The Medical Center at Albany at 723 Burkesville Road in Albany, Kentucky. Enjoy carols, cookie sand cocoa, plus visit Santa at 5:30 p.m., followed by a presentation of the poinsettia “tree” at 6 p.m.
  • Dec. 5: The Medical Center at Caverna at 1501 S. Dixie St. in Horse Cave. Caverna High School Band at 5 p.m., a tree lighting at 5:15 p.m. and cookies and cocoa at 5:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 9: The Medical Center at Russellville at 1625 Nashville St. in Russellville. – Program and tree lighting at 5:30 p.m., followed by cookies and cocoa at 6 p.m.
  • Dec. 10: The Medical Center at Franklin at 1100 Brookhaven Road in Franklin. Program begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by cookies and cocoa, along with a visit with Santa to receive a present at 6 p.m.

Until Jan. 5, the Med Center Health Foundation says you can purchase a light that will be displayed on the tree in honor, celebration or memory of a loved one. Lights are available for $10, $25, $50 and $100 in multiple locations, while a $20 donation adds a poinsettia to the tree in Albany.
