MCHS students selected for Washington tour

EDMONTON, Ky. – Metcalfe County High School announced Friday two students have been invited on an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. this summer.
Western Kentucky University’s Educational Talent Search sponsors the four-day, three-night tour of the nation’s capital, according to the district. Twenty students were selected for the program, including MCHS sophomore Callie Decker and MCHS junior Chase Murphy.
“We are beyond excited for Callie and Chase,” MCHS Principal Joseph Eaton said. “Both are exceptional students who have worked diligently to have the opportunity to enjoy this unique experience. I look forward to hearing from them when they return. We’re extremely proud of that Hornet Hustle!”
While in Washington, the group will visit the White House, U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, the Smithsonian Museums, Arlington National Cemetery, Georgetown University and more.
