(NBC News) — You’ve likely heard of food deserts, but what about maternity deserts? They’re areas of the country where women have limited or no access to obstetrics care before, during and after pregnancy. That potentially could lead to dangerous health complications for mothers and babies. NBC’s Sarah Dallof reports.
