Marine Corps League and Toys for Tots hosting craft and vendor fair at American Legion

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Marine Corps League of Bowling Green and Toys for Tots are teaming up for a craft and vendor fair on Saturday.

The fair happens at American Legion Post 23 on Dishman Lane from 10AM to 4PM, featuring vendors, an auction and a cake walk.

A highlight of the event is the Traveling Kentucky Vietnam Veteran Memorial Wall, giving veterans and community members a chance to pay their respects.

Proceeds from the fair will support both organizations and their efforts in the community.

“It’s very important we work together, and it’s all volunteer of course. We just want to reach and help as many kids… we did 31,000 kids last year, and we see that the need is probably going to be that or greater this year, so it just always is very important,” Teresa Zackery, an associate member of the Marine Corps League and assistant coordinator for Toys for Tots, says.

Its main goal is to help veterans in our area, while Toys for Tots helps provide kids with toys for the holidays.

The funding they’ll receive from this event helps further their goals of serving these members of the community.
