Man charged with stalking, harassing Taylor Swift

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CNN) – An Indiana man has been arrested and charged with stalking and harassing Taylor Swift.
According to an affidavit, 36-year-old Mitchell Taebel is accused of sending the singer, her management and those close to her threatening messages from March to May this year.
It also claims Taebel traveled from Indiana to Swift’s home in Nashville on May 5 and was escorted off the property.
He then went to Nissan Stadium, where Swift was performing that night, but was removed from the stadium after being recognized by security.
The affidavit also says Taebel violated a temporary restraining order requested by Swift’s management team.
He was booked into the LaPorte County Jail on June 2 on charges of stalking, intimidation, invasion of privacy and harassment.
A $15,000 bond was set for the stalking charge.
Taebel’s next court appearance is set for July 27.
