Man charged with robbery in Glasgow
GLASGOW, Ky. – On Sunday, the Glasgow Police Department responded to a Subway on the Public Square in Glasgow in reference to a robbery.
According to a release, officers arrived and spoke with a Subway employee, who stated that he was taking trash out to the dumpster when someone struck him in the head with an object and had taken money from his pockets. After the employee provided a description of the suspect to officers, they located a male subject fitting the description on Columbia Avenue.
The suspect was identified as Jason W. Wheat, 40, of Morgantown. Officers confirmed he had multiple active warrants for his arrest.
Wheat was arrested and charged with robbery, first degree, and was served with the active warrants.
Wheat is lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center and has court set for today.
