Man charged with failure to comply with sex offender registration in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man has been charged with failure to comply with sex offender registration in Bowling Green.
According to a uniform citation, on Monday, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a terroristic threatening complaint.
Authorities say the caller reported that her neighbor, identified as 31-year-old Kebius Townsend of Hopkinsville, “threatened to shoot her house.”
Deputies say the caller provided a video recording showing Townsend making a verbal threat about a shooting.
Authorities say complainants stated the threats were toward them due to their complaints about Townsend living at the residence without being on the lease.
While confirming Townsend’s status through dispatch, deputies say they learned he is a registered sex offender with only an address on file in Hopkinsville.
Authorities say Townsend told deputies he did not “intend any harm by his statements.”
Deputies say Townsend confirmed he moved into the apartment in March. According to the citation, the apartment is located within 1,000 feet of a childcare facility.
Townsend was arrested and transported to the Warren County Regional Jail.
He faces charges of registered sex offender residence restrictions, first offense, failure to comply with sex offender registration, first offense, and second-degree stalking,
